
Dear Parents,
Welcome to Bay Creek Middle School! It is truly an honor to have the opportunity to serve as the principal in such an outstanding cluster. I recently had the opportunity to tour the building. It is truly an amazing facility. As I walked the hallways for the very first time, I could imagine all of the exciting teaching and learning taking place in each classroom. Once the building is ready for occupancy, we will establish a date and time to invite parents, students and the community to see the new campus of Bay Creek Middle School.
Bay Creek is projected to open with 843 students and approximately 70 staff members. Since being named principal, I have been working diligently to fill the staff with teachers who have high expectations for all students. We will challenge each student who walks through our doors to reach his or her full potential. We are all very anxious to move into our new building and begin working with your child.
You are an important member of our school family. One way to immediately get involved with our school is through the PTA. The PTA is a vital component of a successful school. We will form our Charter PTA Board and general membership in April, 2009. I want to encourage your participation in the PTA. Our charter PTA meeting is scheduled for Thursday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at Trip Elementary School in the cafeteria. I ask that you continue to check the Bay Creek website for announcements and other information pertaining to the school.
This is an exciting time as we work together creating a great school for our students, parents and community. On behalf of the entire staff, I welcome you to Bay Creek Middle School. I look forward to working with your family as we create a rigorous and relevant learning environment for our students.
